Chords

Chords

Chords who hails from South London, first trained as a classical pianist and was more used to scores and orchestras than beats and breaks. He was weaned onto drum and bass by his older brother in his early years, which inevitably lead to him trying his own hand at music production. Using a myriad of influences from his father’s jazz and funk collection, right down to his brothers love of jungle and garage music, Chords brings a unique balance of musicality and soul to the realm of drum and bass. After years of underground cultivation, honing his production skills and working with some of the biggest acts in Drum and Bass, Chords is ready to show the world his musical capability. Chords has already made a stir, with tracks featuring on The Essential Mix (BBC Radio 1) courtesy of Netsky, the Crissy Criss show, continuous Viper podcasts, Hospitals MoS mix, and the ubiquitous UKF mix collaborating with dnb legend Matrix. With the likes of Andy C, High Contrast, Futurebound, Brookes Brothers, Sigma and Moving Fusion heavily endorsing his sound, Chords is on his way up in 2013.
