Coming straight out of Essex, the Pull Up crew consist of 4 established DJs. Each one bringing their own style, it’s no wonder that the Pull Up mixtapes are regularly used at house parties around the globe!
Head Honcho, Gully B launched Pull Up! in 2013 in the basement of a Southend-On-Sea pub, using a borrowed sound-system and his own turntables. After years of DJing under the alias of John The Baptist, he quickly established Pull Up! as Essex’s only true carnival-music event brand, and has lead the Pull Up crew, to host parties in Brighton, as well as taking over stages at Leefest and BSTK Festival.
Andy A was the first DJ to join Gully B’s new venture back in 2013, and his mix of Afrobeats and Soca music was an instant hit with the building fan base. Not only can you find him mixing and hosting at Pull Up events, he also has a weekly Carnival-music radio show on the Essex radio station ‘Funky SX’.
A young ‘Jamie Barrett’, was found down the front of the first Pull Up parties and managed to convince Gully B to listen to his mixes. Since then, Barretta has secured his role as one of the iconic members of the group.
In 2015, Tenbomb Artwork DJ/Host, Stonefish, joined the Pull Up crew. After years of travelling the world and making the right connections at Rio Carnival, Stonefish brings a whole new flavour to the Pull Up sound, showcasing exciting genres like Baile Funk, Gqom, Dembow and Zouk Bass.
